A tangy and spicy ketchup based BBQ sauce that is gluten free and tastes great on all meats and seafood. Our sauces have flavor profiles ranging from medium to hot and we recently introudced our new flavor Pineapple Habanero for those who like a little extra heat!
Meet Jason "JayT" Thomas
Co-founder of Wheels Up Sauce LLC
Jason became a private pilot in 2015 and loved all things to do with aviation. He loved his family, friends and above all, God.
Jason had a love for food and especially trying different sauces. He loved North Carolina sauce but found them to be either too sweet or too much vinegar. He wanted to create something you could use on everything. Thick, bold and spicy! After months of perfecting his own version he decided it was just right. Jason began making it for family and friends, and attending local markets. He chose the right bottle, designed the labels, and was working on a website ( he was a computer programmer).
Together, his family came up with the name Wheels Up after his passion for flying.
Jason passed away unexpectedly in 2020 and the business never took off.
“I would like to think that the legacy Jason left to his family will continue to live on for generations to come. I think he would be proud of our family business being established and that we are growing quickly, since just starting 3 years ago. I think Jason would be excited to see what the future holds for Wheels Up BBQ Sauce!”
